The student of SHIKSHA NIKETAN from all the respective streams bring laurels to the institution by achieving a total of 18 positions .442 Distinctions , 140 1stDivision , 710 Subject Wise Positions

Symposium Organised

Shanti house organised a symposium on the topic "importance of discipline". All House are particiapted in it. They delivered their views on it.1st Position - Sukhpreet Kour (AMAR HOUSE), 2ND Position - Shriya Nanda (GANDHI HOUSE), 3RD Position - Bhoomi Raina (SHANTI HOUSE).

BAL MELA CUM SCIENCE EXHIBITION

A grand programme 'Bal Mela Cum Science Exhibition' was celebrated in the premises of R.M. Public School, Chowadhi, Sainik Colony Jammu.

  Swami Hridayand Giri, Taj-Mohi-ud-din (Hon'ble Minister for Medical Education Sports & Youth Services) and Sh. Raman Bhalla Ji (Hon'ble Minister for Horticulture, Floriculture & Housing) inaugurated the programme. Sh. Shakeel Ahmad Beig (D.I.G. Jammu) presided over the function and Padamshree Dr. Jintendra Udhampuri Ji (Ex.Director A.I.R. Jammu) was the guest of honour. 

 Scholarship cheques worth Rs. 2 lac. were distributed among 72 students for their academic excellence in the school premises like science exhibition Art and Craft Exhibition, flower arragnement competition ect. The main attraction of 'Bal Mela Cum Science Exhibition was 'Lucky Draw'.

The Founder of our
Educational System

In the year 1969 a team of dedicated persons of Jammu realized the need to start an institution that lays strong emphasis on traditional values so that the students would become ethical and responsible human beings.

It was with this creative urge that Late Sh. Dev Dutt Mengi (Retd. District Education Officer) a philanthropist and lover of education, initiated this dream into practice by laying the foundation of Shiksha Niketan as an impressive, inspiring and excellent institution imbided to grow and spread light and knowledge. He had an urge to render some unique service in the field of education. It was his vision that children need lot of exposure to new experiments and innovations and must be guided in right perspective to fulfill the conceived aims and objectives.

Keeping this mission in mind, Late Sh. Dev Dutt Mengi took upon himself the responsibility of bringing together some of the best academicians and other learning resources to march towards his dream of imparting excellent education to the would be citizens of India.

By this humble begining, Shiksha Niketan has grown into a force to reckon with in educational sector by providing educational opportunities ranging from the requirements of toddlers to that of all school-goers.

Life is precious, but it never grows great until it is focused, dedicated and disciplined. Knowledge of our duties is more essential part of the philosophy of life.

Shiksha Niketan group of institutions have emerged one of premier group of institutions in the state. Our institutions are well – equipped with requisite infrastructure to cater all round requirement of the students and teachers. We have well qualified trained and devoted teaching fraternity whose motto is to bring out the best from the children.

The ambient atmosphere allows the students to develop deep into the fountains of concept – oriented study. The conceptual knowledge is linked to activities jointly performed by students  and  teachers.  More  room  is  given  to  discussion,  experimentations,  questioning  and finding  solutions  in  class  exercises. 

Efforts are  made  to  develop  students mentally,  morally,  physically,  emotionally to face the coming challenges confidently.

Lectures by eminent scholars are organized to broaden the vision of students to understand the essence of life. Latest gadgets, teaching aids, laboratories, library and well furnished classrooms facilitates learning with fascination. Adequate arrangements are available to take care of student's health by involving in physical activities through highly professional physical instructors. This congenial and serene atmosphere has allowed our students to embibe in themselves a missionary zeal to excel in their chosen fields.
