Symposium Organised

Shanti house organised a symposium on the topic "importance of discipline". All House are particiapted in it. They delivered their views on it.1st Position - Sukhpreet Kour (AMAR HOUSE), 2ND Position - Shriya Nanda (GANDHI HOUSE), 3RD Position - Bhoomi Raina (SHANTI HOUSE).

BAL MELA CUM SCIENCE EXHIBITION

A grand programme 'Bal Mela Cum Science Exhibition' was celebrated in the premises of R.M. Public School, Chowadhi, Sainik Colony Jammu.

  Swami Hridayand Giri, Taj-Mohi-ud-din (Hon'ble Minister for Medical Education Sports & Youth Services) and Sh. Raman Bhalla Ji (Hon'ble Minister for Horticulture, Floriculture & Housing) inaugurated the programme. Sh. Shakeel Ahmad Beig (D.I.G. Jammu) presided over the function and Padamshree Dr. Jintendra Udhampuri Ji (Ex.Director A.I.R. Jammu) was the guest of honour. 

 Scholarship cheques worth Rs. 2 lac. were distributed among 72 students for their academic excellence in the school premises like science exhibition Art and Craft Exhibition, flower arragnement competition ect. The main attraction of 'Bal Mela Cum Science Exhibition was 'Lucky Draw'.

ABOUT US

Introduction

Shiksha Niketan Jammu is the gate way of knowledge and temple of learning. It provides learning from nursery to 12th class. The medium of instruction is English and the courses of study are in accordance with the prescribed rules and regulations of the education department and j&k board of school education. Besides books the student are given advance courses to nurture them how to sit in a competitive examination. The school is supported by the most qualified teachers who are dedicated, hardworking and passionate towards their profession. School is providing sports and others facilities along with education. The children are provided ample opportunities to take part in co-curricular programmes at school, state and national level.

History

Shiksha Niketan High school Gandhi Nagar was established by Late Sh. Dev Dutt Mengi Retired D.E.O. He was a renowned personality, experience educationist of Jammu province. The institute provides moral education in the field of true democratic and secular state. After successful in the silver jubilee year, organization started a new institute name and style as Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School Digiana, Jeevan Nagar in year 1993.

Mission

The mission of Shiksha Niketan is to develop each child to his or her fullest potential. Our mission is to develop young man with active and creative minds so that they grow spiritually, intellectually, socially, physically and emotionally. We want them to lead a healthy, productive and meaningful life.

Vision

The dogmatic vision of our institutions is the over all development of students to equip them with Pragmatic and Prognostic knowledge to cope and conquer challenging world.

Infrastructure

It is one of the fastest growing co-educational school of Jammu having magnificent building with all facilities of learning adequate infrastructure, airy and well ventilated classrooms a big play ground, spacious lecture and conference halls enshrining hopes of about 4000 students both in Shiksha Niketan High school at Gandhi Nagar and Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary school at Jeevan Nagar Jammu. Since inception the school maintains its status till now.

In-Service Training

The school provides inservice training to the teachers from time to time to empower them with new and advance techniques of teaching and learning process. Teachers from other Institution also participated in the program to enhance their knowledge. R.M.College of education provides this service complementary for the betterment of teachers.
